Job Overview

The Procurement Engineer – Projects & Supplies is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for both project-based and routine operations. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and full compliance with company policies and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery reliability, and compliance.
• Conduct market research to source engineering materials, equipment, and services as per operational and project needs.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure best value without compromising quality.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and logistics to align procurement with schedule and requirements.
• Track deliveries and coordinate with finance for timely payments.
• Maintain complete and accurate procurement documentation including RFQs, POs, and supplier evaluations.
• Monitor and resolve supply chain risks and delays.
• Recommend cost-saving opportunities while maintaining material standards and timelines.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within engineering, ship repair, or MEP contracting in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, contract negotiation, and procurement compliance.
• Experience sourcing technical/engineering materials and vendor management.
